The Race Kart Challenge

You can’t just book this kart.

A 2-stroke race kart with a Yamaha engine that revs to 15,000 rpm, in a race chassis that weighs about 70 kg. To drive one, you earn it.

Ages 15+ Max 120 kg Suit, gloves & helmet included Pre-book online
How it works

Qualify. Then fly.

Race karts are a big step up from anything you can rent at a fun park. So before you drive one, our crew make sure you can handle it.

1

Book your package

Choose 2 to 5 race kart sessions. Every package includes your two qualifying sessions in the hire karts.

2

Qualify

Two 10-minute hire kart sessions while our staff watch your driving: your lines, braking and speed control.

3

Suit up

Approved? Race suit, gloves and helmet on, and a quick run-through of the race kart.

4

Step up

Out you go. Half the weight of a hire kart, a lot more engine, and grip you have to feel to believe.

You can’t lose. If you don’t pass the observed sessions, the value of your unused race kart sessions comes back as vouchers for future hire kart sessions.

Not a hire kart

A proper race kart.

These are ex-team 2-stroke karts, the kind used in racing all over the world, on a mix of European and Australian race chassis. No trailer, no engine rebuilds, no tyre bill. Just turn up and drive.

Driver reviews

“The difference in performance is immense.

“Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Troy and the team! My son Oliver and I had an amazing day doing two sessions in the normal hire karts, and then two sessions in the race karts. Do yourself a favour and do this, the difference in performance is immense, if you love your karting this is a must do! Was so good I’ve booked in to do a race…”

“If you’re up for a wicked day get down, see Troy and have a spin in the 4 stroke karts. If you want to get the adrenaline going and push yourself to the limits get into one of the 2 stroke karts and hold on! Best day you can have by far for anyone!”
Steve BrownRace karts
“Great karting place with a technical track. 4 stroke karts are quick and responsive and there are race 2 stroke karts available also (qualifying required). Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help out. Plenty of parking available. Have been going to many karting tracks and highly rate this one! Worth coming down from…”

Race kart questions

How do the race karts work?
You qualify first. Book a Race Kart Challenge package and you start with two 10-minute hire kart sessions while our staff watch your driving. Once you’re approved, you step up to the race kart. Don’t qualify, and the unused race kart value comes back as hire kart vouchers. More on the Race Kart Challenge.
How old do you need to be?
Hire karts: 10 and over, and at least 150 cm tall so you can reach the pedals safely. Race karts and enduros: 15 and over. Friday Night League juniors are 10 to 16.
What should I wear?
We recommend enclosed shoes and comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Tie back long hair and leave scarves and anything loose at home. For the race karts you’ll need your own fully enclosed shoes (thin, soft soles are best); we supply the suit, gloves and helmet.
What happens if it rains?
We race in the wet. A bit of drizzle just makes it a different track. If conditions become unsafe, we move your booking to another available date. Bookings aren’t refunded because of weather.
Can I get a refund?
Bookings are non-refundable. If we close the track for safety, we’ll happily rebook you. If a refund is ever agreed, a 15% administration fee applies. Full details are in our booking terms.
